My 3 month old grandson loved this toy. It comes in 4 separate, 2 sided piecesthat can be put together to make a mat for him to lay on. We use them separately. He loved the crinkly sound that it makes when he grabs at them. Most of the pictures are black and white with a little color thrown in. I would highly recommend this toy for newborns and infants
