AVOID. Ordered 2 boxes of these – specifically the pate type – one seafood mix and the other poultry and beef. Both cats developed diarrhea after the first set that we have not been able to completely eradicate. Second set must have been even worse as neither cat would even touch a single bite from any of the multiple cans we opened.

Have been to the vet twice, had their stools tested and blood drawn repeatedly and gone through three prescribed medications. Have also tried probiotics sprinkled on their food and organic pumpkin to no avail (to all those who said their cats didn’t even notice either in their food I say ‘You lucky devils!’ 😜).

Have had periods where stools have seemed to be firming up but always slide back to loose again (one cat has had difficulty with loose bowels as well – seem to have to scrub and sanitize spots on wood and tile floors, carpeting, windowsills where he sits, blankets/bedding where he naps, clothing after cuddles, etc daily).

And they both have the most extraordinarily, painfully, truly room clearing, kill me now, gas.

Did not have the same issues with the Gravy Lovers packs that we had used before these ones (no longer feeding them any Fancy Feast products – tried Iams but no change. Considering going to hard food only for awhile to see if that makes any useful difference). Not sure if these were made from bad, degraded or UNSAFE ingredients and tainted from the factory or if they were mishandled in shipping/storage (I.e. Left to freeze or overheat or were older than stated – Best By date on cans was 2018…), or what.

Regardless, I would very much like to have someone from Purina, their Fancy Feast line and/or Amazon come spend the day with my poor cats and experience their pained and disconcerted, definitely embarrassed and often furtive, worried that they’ll get yelled at glances and body language when they can’t make it to their boxes in time and have no control over their bowels as they have no choice but to go right where they stand! And watch as they tuck themselves into the deepest shadowy corner under the furniture they can find immediately after their accident!

And while they are here they can do the clean ups, laundry and pay the ongoing veterinarian, medication and greatly increased cat litter purchases and bills!

In summary, if you – Purina, Amazon, seller, shipper – take it upon yourself to knowingly manufacture, transport and/or sell food for animals – particularly animals with ZERO control over the food available to them – my much loved cats, for example – then I SINCERELY EXPECT YOU TO CARE ABOUT MY CAT’S HEALTH AS MUCH AS I DO by ensuring you are ABSOLUTELY & CONSISTENTLY employing and utilizing the must sufficient & effective ingredients, suppliers, tools, processes, services and STANDARDS required to ensure the product provided is as SAFE and HEALTHY for my cats as it is ADVERTISED to be!!! I am incredibly discouraged to have so far found that there is no one – at least none who have responded to or been made available to me when I reached out for assistance to both companies – whose specific job it is to remain attentive to or responsible for this product when purchased through this particular channel.

Slightly cheaper than getting it from the store, and it’s dropped off for me. Grain free and cat healthy. Simple paté foods like these are what my vet recommends since it’s grain free. Cats are carnivores and designed to eat meat. According to most vets, grains can contribute to feline urinary and kidney health problems since thier bodies are simply not designed to eat them. Vet recommend and cat approved.

I have used various FF products as a supplement to a much higher grade dry food for my 2 cats. For some reason one of my cats vomits a few minutes after eating this version. The griddle product seems to stay down fine though but I have noticed a lot of FF products have been in short supply recently.

My cats love it and usually it’s shipped beautifully in a nice and neat box. My last shipment was in an envelope and the box broke all over. I still need to check the cans. But if your cat is picky, or you want something closer to healthy and can’t afford the more expensive brands yet, this is the one.

Edit: the cans were all damaged. My cats won’t touch it and realized it before I did. Will not purchase again.

There are 3 different flavors for my finicky cat who will only eat seafood flavors in pate..

I don’t like that my cat will intermittently throw up about 15 minutes after he eats a certain flavor. For this shipment he has thrown up 3 times after eating the Salmon flavor. For the last shipment he would not eat the Ocean Seafood Flavor(Blue label?) and he will refuse to eat his soft food. I’m very concerned!

My cat has very strong feelings about Fancy Feast, and I never pass up an opportunity to tell a story about my cat.

My girl had to have some dental work done and they told me she would need canned food for two weeks afterward. I thought for sure this was going to be a major challenge because for years she had refused to eat anything but her favorite dry food a good 95% of the time. Once in a while she liked the wet food she used to eat when she was a baby just for a change of pace, but most of the time she just didn’t really care for anything but her crunchies. Well, she had absolutely no problem eating this stuff.

After two weeks I thought she would be thrilled to get her dry food back, but I shook it into her dish, she looked at it, then she walked over to the box with the rest of the canned Fancy Feast. She made direct eye contact with me and started rubbing her face on the box and making pitiful mewing noises. She did not want her dry food back, thank you very much. She was able to eat it one day when we had a shipment of Fancy Feast coming and it was delayed, and she does eat some crunchy and chewy treats without an issue, so I know it’s not a matter of her mouth bothering her, she just plain doesn’t want kibble anymore. And she’s had no interest in it since. Fancy Feast is the thing now.

She doesn’t want her old wet food anymore either. I tried to give her a container of it again recently and she just looked at me, and looked at it, and looked back at me, like, “you can’t make me eat this slop.” I asked her, “what? You lived on this almost exclusively for the first 2 years of your life. It’s gross now?” But then suddenly I had a flashback to my mother arguing with me when I was in my twenties, telling me I obviously loved beets because I had loved beet flavored baby food. My tastes had changed since infancy, why couldn’t my cat’s? So apparently by comparison, yes. According to my cat, Fancy Feast is now the bomb, and everything else is disgusting.
