This was a smash hit for our 3 1/2 mo baby. It allows us to get a few minutes to get things done and gives her a chance to work on her hand coordination with all the toys in front of her. I had to put a cushion from the couch under her feet, even on the lowest setting but she still loves it.

Frustrated here. Couldn’t even complete assembly step 1. As you can see in the picture, the round metal button should be extending fully through the hole but isn’t. There are three of these interlocking metal base tubes, so a total of three buttons and holes to match up, but only one of the three buttons can get close enough to the center of the hole to push all the way through. That other round metal thing to the left of the button is part of a little metal rod inside the larger tube that prevents the smaller tube from proceeding any further. I deliberately included in the picture the scrape I got on my right index finger that when the smaller tube slid past the larger one and hit my finger. Granted, I was rushing to get this project over with (do we not all have enough things to do??) so I’m not blaming the manufacturer but it just added to the aggravation.
Meanwhile my five month old is colicky again. Lately he always wants us to hold him upright while he practices standing on his feet. So I clean up my little cut and go stand him up with my own hands while his sort of expensive jumperoo lies in pieces on the floor. At least the baby was happy!
Now to decide whether I can somehow manage to make this product work, maybe with the aid of a hammer and/or a screwdriver, and thereby risk damaging it to the point where it can’t be returned, or to go through the disappointment of packing it up and sending it back for a refund. Hey, they’ll probably just re-ship my product to the next sucker.
Fisher-Price, we all make mistakes, but whoever was supposed to QA this thing was obviously texting his girlfriend instead. This sucked!
I know, first world problems.

I’m writing this review 1.5 months after purchasing it…
Pros:
1. It keeps my baby mostly entertained, or at least content while looking at me from inside the seat, while I’m doing things. She’s been using this since she was 5 months old (she’s 6.5 months old now) for about 1 hour in the morning, and 30 minutes (at dinner time) in the evenings.
2. I like that you may hook things to the top red tall pieces.
3. I like that the seat cover is easy to just clean with a soapy damp cloth because it air dries pretty quickly.
4. I think it’s helping my baby develop stronger legs, however, she does tend to tip toe one foot when I hold her so that she can stand up, and I think it’s because she’s so used to jumping like that. So maybe this is half con …
5. I like that it rotates. Huge tip: put organic oil of some kind or simply olive oil around the circle while assembling it so that it will help it rotate. I did it right off the bat b/c of the reviews I read where it is difficult to rotate it. Mine was too, so I lubed it up with oil and it got easier and easier to rotate it.
Cons:
1. It desperately needs wheels at the bottom and doesn’t have them. That was a HUGE mistake by the creator not to have them. This thing is awful to lug from room to room, and impossible to if you’re carrying your baby in one arm, because it carries its weight poorly when lifted. Even with 2 people moving it, it feels wrong. That was such an easy thing to do… to create wheels that have kick-down & kick-up locks for securing it in place, or easily pushing it into a different room.
2. It seems like this was made to create left-handed babies. 2 out of 3 stations have the intricate items, that require dexterity in their fingers, on the left-hand side. This really bothers me. Things are made more friendly for right-handed people, and it’s a disservice to have your baby not developing the dexterity in the right hand. My left-handed sister agrees and is annoyed by this as well.
3. It claims you can stick suction toys on the white space, but for whatever reason none of the toys we’ve purchased to suction onto it stay. And we’ve tested them on our high-chair table, where they stay put nice and snug. So, it’s definitely the material of this jumper that doesn’t allow things to suction to it – which you’ll want because the stations get boring to the baby pretty quickly.
4. When my baby jumps up and down for too long, which happens at least 3-4 days a week, she gets chaffing on her upper thighs. We’ve had to lay on the baby powder super thick. The leg holes are too tight, which leads me to another con…
5. It’s really difficult getting the baby into and out of this thing. My husband felt so bad about how hard we were having to tak her (at the arm pits) to get her out, he figured out how we can kneel down and wiggle her into a better position to gentle grab her closer at the waist. But, it’s just ridiculous how difficult it is getting her out. Whenever we do get her out the whole set comes up with her, so we always have to lean down and push it back down, which is annoying since it’s pretty low to do that while standing and holding a baby.
6. I think the stations are pretty boring. She pulls on some of the objects that cannot be moved, as though she wants to pull them out, and gets a little frustrated that they won’t come out. They should have made this with different levels where once your baby gets bored or more mature in their physical abilities you can switch out these boring ones with more exciting, detailed ones.
I hope this review helps you in making your decision, or at least giving you a heads up as to what you can expect. I feel 50/50 on whether to recommend it… There may be something better out there, but I kind of like it; it gives me 1 hour and later 30 mins. a day, to do something while she has me in sight. I recommend not over-using it or using it for too long. A baby will develop best when spoken to and taught face to face in expressionate ways, and read to.

This is a must have. We got this for our daughter at 3 months. I honestly don’t how we survived pre-jumparoo life 🙂 You definitely want this!

My 6 month old baby used this for all of two weeks before the base of the palm tree snapped off. The plastic clip that is supposed to hold it in place completely broke, creating a sharp plastic piece and a choking hazard. Because this just sits inside the base, I didn’t realize it was broken right away. My baby could have choked on this. Fisher price asked me to mail it back for a refund, but could not assure me they were going to take any action other than to look at it. My child could have died, and I am pissed that they made this out of weak enough plastic that a baby could snap it after two weeks of use.

Got this for my boy around 12 weeks of age. He can’t touch the floor (without a box underneath) but he seems to really like the lights and sounds so far. I don’t leave him in it for long because he is still so small but i think we will get some good use of this over time. It certainly helps me have a few extra minutes to get stuff done in the house. ***negative***one of the bungee straps was put on wrong during manufacturing and i had to take it apart and untwist it. A buyer should not have to do that to a new item so it shows a missed defect from the quality department. It was easy enough to fix so i didn’t ask or a replacement.

Our baby would just cry, all the time. So we bought a series of items to see if he was just bored. This product finally gave him something to do that he liked and gave me time to get some housework done. I could just put it in the kitchen when cooking or doing dishes. I would put him in it in the living room when I would fold laundry. He does love to knock over my folded clothes piles. This is a good product. With my first son, we bought a cheaper one from Target (I think) and he just didn’t seem to like it as much. He would get bored in it. I think that is why I got this one. I also like how the jumping cable are hooked up. It gives an easier bounce for my LO. My first son had to really give it a good hop to get any bounce.
