This is the second nail grinder I purchased for use with my 7 pound maltipoo. The first one we purchased was too loud and after several tries, I gave up on it. THIS ONE, however, is much quieter PLUS it gave helpful hints to get pets accustomed to having their nails done. I tried it as suggested; with a handful of treats on the counter right next to the grinder, which was turned on. After a few minutes of feeding her treats next to the grinder, I simply picked up her paw and began using it on her nails. She turned her head away a bit, but kept on eating her treats while I was filing her nails! HORRAY!!

I also have an electric nail grinder that plugs in and have had this for years. However it is noisy and my dogs do not like it so decided to try this one. It really is quiet and my dogs do not mind it at all. Would certainly recommend.

Wow!!! I have had 3 dog nail grinders in the past. This one beats all of them by far!! The other ones had good reviews on Amazon and did the job, but this one goes above and beyond. It it very quiet on both settings, which is great, especially for skittish pups. It is sooo fast! I have 3 dogs and it would take several minutes per dog, about 30 minutes total. Not with this one. All 3 were done in less than 10 and they were much shorter and looked better than when using the other grinders. It also didn’t get nearly as hot as the other ones do. I am very impressed. The packaging is nice. It has everything you need. The company sent paper manuals, but also an email copy. There is also a lifetime warranty. I would definitely recommend this grinder to any dog owners!

This was easy to use, and filed the nails brilliantly and did not phase my woose of a dog.
I find cutting difficult as he has dark nails and as he’s very active, the underside of the nail is worn so the top grows more than the underside.
He sniffed it and felt the vibration first – treat
A little nail filing – treat
    Finished the nail – treat
Next nail full – treat and repeat
He was actually holding up his paw by the end of the exercise.
I’ve just done his front paws first and attack his back one’s tomorrow.
VERY impressed with this little device, very tactile. Only 4 stars as I needed to use my head torch to see, if it had LED light it work have been 5 stars.

AMAZING! Honestly I thought the reviews were too good to be true. My bub HATES getting his nails clipped and worse yet he has black nails so I never know how far to cut without hurting him. This thing works beautifully and is absolutely worth the money. It’s very quiet and works FAST. Very happy pet owner over here!

This grinder was quick and easy to use on my 3-month-old German Shorthaired Pointer. While she’s still fairly young and new to/scared of most things, she didn’t seem to be bothered at all during the filing. I used the slower setting with the bigger filing top and it was very quiet. I love the fact that it’s larger and extremely easy to hold, no slippage whatsoever! I actually clipped her nails prior to using this, but soon realized the grinder is so efficient that I can eliminate that step in the future! Her nails came out perfectly rounded with no sharp edges. Afterwards, she happily ran around the yard for hours while my husband finished building the fence, then promptly passed out for a nap once inside. She’s happy, I’m happy, outstanding product! It’s definitely a time saver and easier to maneuver than clippers.
Instructions were easy to follow and a charger was included.

I’ve always been a little afraid of trimming my dogs nails for fear of cutting too short. I have 2 small dogs and their nails grow fast, so I finally decided it was time to learn because paying to have them trimmed so frequently was too expensive. This grinder came with information on how to trim the nail which made me feel more confident. The grinder worked great and it was my first time using it. I was able to use by myself without having someone else hold my dogs. Both of my dogs did really well with the grinder. I allowed them to get adjusted to the sound first and rewarded them with treats throughout the process. The wiggled a bit at times, but overall stayed still and allowed me to trim. I love how quiet the grinder is. I included a video so hopefully you can hear that it is quiet. The video was taken after I had trimmed my dogs nails and as you can tell they were not fearful of it at all afterwards. Highly recommend!

This grinder saved my dogs (one 80lb German Shepherd Husky mix with thick dark nails that grow outwards, one 20lb peekingese papillon mix with dark tubular nails that grow downwards into the pads). Haven’t managed to get the hang of clipping their nails during the four plus months during quarantine (march to June) have resorted to slowly filing them down. This grinder reduces the nail length quickly and efficiently. Have been working on them once a week for the past two weeks for less stressful experience since they are both not fond of getting their nails trimmed. Their nail lengths are almost all back to normal and the two of them more tolerable to nail grooming. VERY happy with this product. Thank You for saving my Doggies!!!

I wanted to wait a bit before I posted my review. I have 3 dogs, and I wanted to try it on all of them at least once. I have 2 small yorkie dogs and then a large pit bull. The two smaller dogs were pretty easy to manage, their nails fit in the slot pretty good, and they were not really freaked out by the noise of the grinder. It scared them at first, but they were good after that. My big pit was a bit different. He’s never had his nails worked on before, I should say first of all. At first he got very freaked out, but that was mainly by the grinding feel, not anything to do with the device. His nails are huge, so didn’t fit in there so much at first, but after a few minutes, they were fine. The noise was a bit loud for him, but other than that, the grinder did what it was supposed to do. Since it was his first time, I didn’t want to spend a long amount of time on him, thought I would ease him into it. But the grinder seems to work well, and I hope it stands up to the test of time.

I LOVE this!! I haven’t been able to cut my dog’s nails in months because she is terrified of the nail clippers, I got this today and tried it out and in 5 minutes I got all her nails about half the length they were and now they are nice and rounded!! It’s also pretty quiet and easy to use! I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a dog!!

I have a 100lb dog. The first day I got the grinder, I left it in the “on” position on the floor next to him for 20 min. He wasn’t too sure about the funny vibration it made and eyed it warily. The second day I did the same thing then picked it up, with the cap on, and gently touched it to his haunches so he could feel the vibration. Again he wasn’t too sure about it. With the cap on, I picked up his front paw, secured the nail between my 2 fingers and touched the capped grinder to his nail. He looked at me like I was nuts. The entire time I spoke softly and gently to him. I then removed the cap and gently touched the grinder to his nail for only a second. He flinched a little but didn’t pull his paw away. I then proceeded to grind only 1 nail in quick gentle strokes. Success!!! No angry dog! I will proceed with each nail a day at a time until he gets used to the feeling. I’ve attached before picture. The after will come later!

I don’t normally write reviews, but I felt this one warranted one! I have a 6 year old mini dachshund and trimming nails has always been rough!! Screaming and biting (from the dog). I’ve tried other nail grinders and she was terrified of them. I came across this one and thought I’d give it a try. It took only 5 minutes to do ALL FOUR paws! She held perfectly still and didn’t fight me a single bit!! She even wagged her tail when we were done!! Hallelujah I think we found the tool for us!!!
