I totally love this labtop I’ve owned Asus laptops before never ever let me down looks amazing love the lights on the keyboard it does get a little hot but thats normal for gameing labtops and desktop.gameing in general I feel for its price it should last a really long time best part asus offers a product protection plan 1yr free with this new purchase just have to register it online. Highly recommend for budget gaming. Only downs no Webcam no option to upgrade the hard drive so if you want more space you have to get a external hard drive also no optical drive but not to worry about that since I use it primary for games. Things I can work with.

Excelente compra, totalmente recomendada.

I’ll make this simple.
Pros: Modern, very capable CPU/GPU as of Q3 2021. NVMe included with a second slot for another, boots up in barely five seconds when plugged in. Screen quality and battery life top-notch. USBC charging via Thunderbolt 4 port (among other things). Armoury Crate button on keyboard. Extremely fair price, too.
Cons: No 2.5″ drive port that I could see (will correct this review if there is one). Case and NVMe slot bolts on mine were screwed so tightly that I almost stripped them, had to get creative getting some of them off.
Notes: has a second RAM slot, too. Mine came with a single 8GB stick and not two 4GB sticks. Also, this is the first PC I’ve owned that didn’t immediately recognize the second NVMe drive I put in, but it just needed to be manually formatted. Works like a charm with two 512gb drives and 24GB RAM.

I’ve only had it a day but so far this machine is flawless. Very easy set up even if your not very computer literate. I’ve had the best performance/longevity with Asus computers throughout my lifetime more than other brands so I do not doubt its performance. I record music and this can definitely handle most of what I need. I do plan upgrading ram just for better plug in performance.
Overall I do recommend this seller as well, item came two days earlier and perfectly boxed. i will buy from again most definitely.

For sanity sake, here is a clear list of the pros and cons I found:
Pros:
– When configured laptop switches between the power hungry RTX 3050 TI and the integrated Intel Iris XE graphics card to deliver great battery life.
– The RTX 3050 Ti can deliver performance to play most games at the highest settings. The CPU is also really powerful making general desktop tasks a breeze. I’ve hosted Minecraft servers on my PC before, and the amazing single thread performance allows me to host servers and play at the same time.
– The casing is light yet sturdy. Plus it is supposedly drop tested by ASUS but I can’t say much on that end (sorry, but I rather not drop test my laptop :p). The interior of the laptop is also well protected with sticker-covers (as I noticed while installing additional ram). Seems durable!
– Super upgradable 🙂 – On top of the existing 500 gb SSD, there are slots for 2 additional SSDs. I only saw one extra ram stick.
– The display looks good quality. I appreciate the 144 hz monitor.
– Thunderbolt 4: Its really convenient to be able to charge the laptop with USB-C cable (among MANY other things, worth looking up). I’m glad the manufactorer chose to include the new Thunderbolt 4 port.
– The laptop does charges really fast as promised in the product description (with the default charger, I haven’t fully tested charging limitations on the Thunderbolt port).
– Powerful Wifi 6: I was able to achieve download speeds as high as 420 mbps on my gigabit internet. This value is higher than my other wifi devices with cap out at ~250 mpbs max.
– Comes preinstalled with ASUS Armory Crate: Displays CPU/GPU/Ram stats and temperatures, allows you to configure the blue light filter, manage battery saver settings, and the keyboard backlighting.
– All things considered, great price!
Cons:
– The laptop does not come with a camera. This is something to keep in mind if you are a student intending to also use this laptop to for example attend zoom calls. I think this could be a significant con for many, but you can always buy a seperate web cam.
– The screen does not open past a ~100 degree angle. Say if you are using this laptop on a desk while standing, the narrow screen angle makes this job difficult. This is the biggest con for me. I suggest getting a laptop stand for managing this issue if need be.
– The laptop does not have a numpad. I’ve attached macros to numpads in the past, so not being able to do that with this laptop is a limitation.
– The battery life IS NOT anywhere close to “16.6 hours”. With battery saver mode, a more realistic value MAX value is ~8 hours (which still isn’t bad compared to other laptops with similar specs). But the true battery life isn’t close to advertised so be aware.
– The LED lights on the keyboards only have one color (blue). I do wish the LED was a little bit more configurable.
– Be aware if you plan on upgrading this laptop: The screws that come out on the back are different sizes. PAY ATTENTION to size screw goes where when taking it out. In my opinion, this is a really unnecessary hurdle. A slightly more clever design could avoid this inconvenience.
– Comes installed with a few bloatware (namely MyAsus, Mcafee, and a few other things). Fortunately, its not to hard to uninstall.
– The battery part of the laptop gets REALLY hot even with a light workout to the computer. And if you are playing any pc intensive games, EVEN WITH A laptop cooling pad, the keypad even gets hot. I’d suggest using dedicated mouse and keyboard for gaming.

Attractive design, snappy processor, yet to game with it, I’ll update after further use if it doesn’t game well. So far I anticipate no problems. Initially, it had a myriad of updates necessary. Once these were finished the machine was much quicker to start up and performance overall was a lot better. My only complaint is it’s cost when considering the inferior RTX3050TI that it comes with. I almost got this machine for $850, but I waited until later that day to make my decision, and by then the price jumped $100. That changed it from a great deal to an okay deal in my opinion. If you’re on a budget, this is still an okay deal compared to the competition in this price range.
Update:
The laptop does a decent job with light gaming, but in heavily populated high demand MMORPGS it has to be run on mid settings in order to stay above 60 FPS. The 3050ti is not bad for a budget system, but that’s what it is, a budget GPU. If you want a decent laptop for light gaming, school, or work then I would recommend this one if you’re on a budget. If you want a laptop for FPS games or one that can run on full ultra settings in a graphically demanding MMORPG, this is not the system for you.

I am receiving a warranty extension from ASUS for my feedback

This is a quote from the manual. I can understand if there are chemicals inside the device but if I have to wash my hands every time I even “handle” it, it is probably not safe. I returned it and wish this warning would have been included in its description as I would not have purchased it. This whole process caused a great inconvenience.
