I’ve had multiple pet crates of various sizes and have assembled/disassembled for storage many times. This is the only one I would say is poor quality — there are just a couple of parts, so that’s odd. The packaging states the plastic is made in the USA, but apparently the doors aren’t or they have poor quality control. The door was about 1/4 inch larger than it should be and doesn’t seat well. You have to force the crate together with the bolts/nuts and then the door has to be jiggled to close properly. Not a big deal for travel, but if I were crate training, I’d rather not have to do that every time. All my other crates latched just fine.
About half the plastic wing nuts were also unnecessarily sharp. One cut my thumb. It’s not a big deal because you don’t use them often, but its clear that this is a cheap knock off of another company’s product with little attention to quality control.
If you will use it often, choose another brand…fine for occasional travel use though.

This kennel worked well for our rather chubby pussycat. The airline accepted the kennel with no problem and our pussycat still wants to sleep in it every night!

Little disappointed with the quality of the item, I have another one that I purchased from Woot 4 or 5 years ago, same size (28 inch unit), different manufacturer, less money, but far better quality and by far more sturdy.
This item is great for an in home kennel, park the cute little dear there when you go out shopping, go to the dentist, working in the yard, just extended periods out of the house for their safety (this is for my new buddy, a Toy Fox Terrier/Terror). There is no way that I would use this as a carry kennel for any outside foray, to include airlines, just not sturdy enough. Very flimsy plastic comparative to the existing one that I have. I had looked for the same kennel that I had purchased from Woot, but was unable to find it on line or in PetSmart/PetCo, so this kennel appeared to be the most comparable, sadly not in the gauge of plastic used.
If you purchase this item, be aware it is easy to assemble, is a fairly good value for the cost, but not sturdy enough to use in an airline cargo hold, that would scare the living daylights out of me given the flimsiness of the plastic housing.
Would I purchase this unit again, yes, but purely with the understanding that it was for kenneling in the house only, not for any sort of travel purposes.

Cheap piece of junk. It looks like some spare parts put together to try and make a kennel. Top and bottom are the same mold so the bottom is lumpy and uncomfortable for pets. The top and bottom fit together very poorly. See pictures of the inside. I would NEVER trust this crate to ship an animal.

Sturdy once put together. But with the amount of bolts and nuts used to secure the top and bottom, it’s definitely not convenient to take apart again, if needed. Also, the door is secured shut with two retractable metal pins that extend into the top and bottom plastic moulding of the kennel. Based on what I see, and my usage so far, I would expect these holes to fail eventually as they are not reinforced with any type of metal insert. *Note to manufacturer – fix this!
Also, you need to make sure those pins are actually secure in the holes! Time and again, the pins are not seated correctly and my dog was able to push on the door and open it. The pins and holes are a bit small and tricky to quickly secure the door without paying much attention. Always double check to make sure they are secured properly each time you crate your pet.

I purchased two of the 28 inch versions for my 2 corgis and they work great. I caught this photo of both of them in one crate, plenty of room. They are 20 lbs (still a pup) and 29 lbs, good size for this breed or any under 30 lbs.

Purchased this 28″ 41300 Aspen pet carrier for an overseas flight and I’m sorry I did. It’s significantly inferior to the two dozen or more pet carriers I have purchased in my lifetime. Additionally, it was delivered with concealed damage – a big break/hole in the bottom section – exactly where my pet is supposed to lay. I think I’ll add this category to the must-see-before-buying column!
Unfortunately I waited until the day prior to my departure to open, inspect and assemble. Now I have no time to return for a refund. Worse yet, can’t find any contact info for the seller in order to request a replacement part. Seller – if you monitor your reviews, contact me ASAP!

I bought this to be able to transport 2 cats at a time in the same crate. it is great with respect to size and quality however I am not sure how long the handle will last as it seems to be a bit weak around the handle. I use it for 2 cats at a time and so far so good

24” model worked great for my 11lb smaller sized cat to sizing standards for airline travel.
It was not big enough for my bigger 14lb cat though. I only ordered one to make sure though so no fool. I’ve ordered him a 28” model that I know will be perfect.
It’s very sturdy and I love that it comes with metal bolts.
Measurements are pretty true to advertising. Take off about 1/2inch on length and 1/2-1/4th of an inch on height and you’ll get the true inside measurements for this kennel. The opening is smaller than expected though.

IF you want a Kennel that is only 14″ tall, this is a good one to get, but it is NOT 16.7 inches tall. The reveiw is based on the inaccurate description. I am putting a 1 to save other people time in the long run, this kennel is NOT the size listed.

This. Is. Amazing. My 26lb terrier mix is 6 years old and does not like to be in a crate. He chews thru and escapes every crate. But not this one! This crate has been amazing. It is sturdy, light weight, easy one hand open and lock. My pup has not been able to escape or chew thru this crate despite his best efforts. He stay safe and protected in his ‘home’. So glad to have found this crate after trying 6 other styles that claimed to be durable and tough.
